Key Requirements:

  • Ex-trades (electrical or plumbing) or degree qualified in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical engineering, similar suitable qualifications will also be considered

  • Excellent IT skills coupled with an ability to engage, communicate and problem solve

  • Ambitious self-starter with initiative and determination to continue to develop their career in the field of engineering and construction

  • Hold 3 – 5 years post qualification experience working in engineering and or construction related roles

  • Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project MEP Manager and MEP Department Manager, your key responsibilities are:

  • To align MEP activities so they are completed in a safe manner ensuring the Health and Safety of all stakeholders is kept to the forefront of any decisions made or works executed

  • To lead by example and ensure all stakeholders are made aware of Company specific Health & Safety policies and procedures and ensure that Health & Safety forms a key part of any discussions

  • Review the quality of the MEP installation on an on-going basis against agreed benchmarks and first of kind installations

  • To engage with and provide MEP support to all relevant stakeholders throughout the project life cycle

  • Review of overall design, design issues, implement coordination improvements where relevant

  • Determine and manage risks that may impact on project quality, delivery, schedule, or budget

  • Review incoming design change directives for impact to MEP work packages and schedule

  • Coordinate and foster teamwork with the MEP contractors and offer technical support on MEP systems

  • Track and monitor MEP design and technical submittals compliance where required

  • Monitor the procurement/logistics process of the MEP contractors to ensure orders are placed for materials and equipment in time for delivery and in line with the project schedule

  • Management of a procurement tracker for the MEP contractors to populate and maintain.

  • Coordinate the sequence of MEP works on behalf of key stakeholders

  • Track, monitor and report on MEP progress daily/weekly whilst monitoring manpower and equipment requirements across the project

  • Review of progress against resources and forecast required resources to be deployed in order to maintain schedule

  • Ensure the MEP team provide equipment for installations and testing in line with the program

  • Relay best practices and required standards to MEP project and client team

  • Work with the MEP contractors to close out comments and non-conformance QA/QC reports

  • Develop inspection notices and complete audits with MEP contractors, and assist in the development of precommissioning procedures with the aid of the project commissioning manager/lead

  • Provide guidance to the MEP contractors on installation and coordination at site level

  • Coordinate with vendors for personnel, equipment delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning

  • Ensure the completion of all project handover elements to enable successful practical completion on time

  • Establish and support a collaborative approach with the project/client team in the management of MEP packages through to handover

  • Manage the interface and dependencies of CSA elements as a function of the MEP installation to ensure a clear path for progress

  • Chair and input to client/team meetings where required by the project.
