Learning & Development Manager


Key Requirements:

This position will be suitable for a driven Learning and Development (L&D) professional who is experienced and passionate about leading and championing a culture of continuous development. Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO) and partnering with the wider HR team, the primary focus of the role is to be at the forefront of L&D projects and initiatives. As this is a new position the role will involve both operational and strategic L&D responsibilities

  • Prior experience in building, automating and improving L&D programs, ideally across Europe.

  • Working knowledge of business L&D need identification and solution development and delivery

  • Understands key relationships relevant to achieving short- and long-term objectives. Uses data and business acumen to make sound decisions.

  • Previous experience of developing a variety of learning solutions

  • Previous experience of creating L&D strategy, content, administration and reporting

  • Strong leadership, manager and employee support experience

  • Strong content development and facilitation skills

  • Extensive knowledge of the MS Office suite

  • L&D and/or Business Executive/Team Coaching qualifications.

  • CIPD qualified.

  • Experience in using an LMS.

  • Focused on the employee and manager experience.

  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.

  • Partner with the business and the CPO to create an L&D strategy which targets, supports and prioritises learning gaps, an agile business model and company development areas.

  • Lead and champion the L&D agenda to provide exceptional learning and development initiatives to our teams based across Europe, playing a pivotal role in the development of our employees, leaders, managers and teams.

  • Partner with business leaders and HR to drive learning and development initiatives based on business and department needs, actively targeting skills gaps and creating effective solutions to address these gaps and strengthen the company’s development offering.

  • Working alongside the HR team and business leaders to develop suitable L&D offerings in the areas – Digital learning, L&D administration/processes, Management training, Coaching, Career Pathing, Department competency/skill matrix, team building and needs identification and intervention design.

  • Partner with the HR and Business teams to report on strategic L&D updates.

  • Providing consistent support and creating frameworks for employee development plans.

  • Lead the delivery and development of L&D strategic and operational activities, such as planning, administration and delivery.

  • Assist with the delivery and development of our further education programs, study schemes, and early careers learning programs/pathways.

  • Build the company internal development program in specific and growing business areas.

  • Partner with our managers to provide expert coaching in the support of our key projects.

  • Facilitate the company internal ‘Development Roundtable’ sessions.

  • Build, document and maintain L&D processes across the employee lifecycle to improve manager and employee experience.

  • Identify, build, own and monitor the company relationship with L&D external partners.

  • Produce monthly reporting to inform leaders on a variety of topics from market changes to internal learning and development initiatives.

  • Promote & foster Collen core values and a culture of wellness at work.

  • Handle internal and external communication with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
